A micro-pattern reads at one metre and disappears at five: the jacket passes for plain from a distance and reveals its design up close. It is the safest way to introduce a pattern into a navy suit. Fitted cut.

Notched lapel with a pin-adorned buttonhole, single-breasted, chest pocket, flap pockets set off by a discreet ticket pocket. Overlapping cuff buttons, full lining, four inside pockets, vent at the back.

76% polyester, 22% viscose, 2% elastane

Dry clean only. Iron at a low temperature on the reverse side.

How to measure yourself

Measure yourself in your underwear, with a soft tape, standing and relaxed. Get someone to help with your back: a measurement taken alone is almost always too tight.

NeckAround the base of the neck, where the collar sits. Slide one finger between the tape and your skin.
ChestAt the fullest point, arms by your sides, tape level across your back.
WaistAt the narrowest point, above the navel, without pulling. Breathe normally.
HipsAt the fullest point of the hips, feet together.
Inside legFrom the crotch to the floor, barefoot, or on a pair of trousers that fits you well.
Foot lengthStanding, heel against a wall, on a sheet of paper. Use your longer foot.

Between two sizes, take the larger for a jacket or coat, the smaller for knitwear.

The shoulder seam decides. It must sit exactly at the corner of your shoulder. A jacket can be taken in at the waist and sleeves, never at the shoulders.
