Notch lapel, stand collar or funnel neck: what's the difference?
The notch lapel coat borrows the construction of a jacket: it is the smartest coat, and naturally worn over a suit. The stand collar, short and upright, gives a cleaner, more contemporary line. The zip-up funnel neck offers better protection from the wind and suits an urban look, over jeans as well as smart trousers.
What is a removable bib insert for?
The bib is an inner piece that attaches to the collar and closes the top of the coat, sometimes with a hood or a ribbed finish. It adds an extra layer of warmth on cold days and can be removed when the weather gets milder. It is one of the signatures of Jerem coats: a single coat for several seasons and several styles.
